Post COVID, village residents had developed a heightened mutual understanding for each other’s journeys through the pandemic. The village wanted connection, but with less words. The masks were symbolic. The unspoken feeling of support and strength gave us a longing for Intentional healing.
I would soon learn that my neighbors valued close-knit community, as the world saw more challenging and growing times. With this knowledge, I began by providing bodywork to neighbors, and a few referrals in close proximity. I saw this as a way to contribute to the village, being intentional with whom I was serving. A bigger network would soon be created.
Four years later, I am connected to my clients, and care deeply about the quality of their lives. I have learned so much from this community that continues to show up for themselves, and I appreciate all the ways they show up for me. Being a city girl at heart, I am humbled by the power of a small but mighty village.
the lessons we have experienced together. what we have taught each other. It’s bigger than anything I could have imagined here. Exchanging energies, ideas, nurturing and supporting one another, lifestyle advice, and healing. It feels good, powerful even, to have quality over quantity. Together we can reflect on current regional climates, create and implement change, all while making our individual and collective health the top priority.
